The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Council will be conducting Common Entrance Tests (CETs) i.e., (i) EAMCET – for admission into B.Tech., B.Pharmacy, MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS (ii) ECET (FDH) - for admission into Diploma Holders into B.Tech. (iii) ICET - for admission into MCA and MBA (iv) Ed.CET - for admission into B.Ed (v) LAWCET for admission into 3-year & 5-year Law (vi) PGLCET for admission into LLM (vii) PECET - for admission into B.P.Ed. and UG B.P.Ed (viii) PGECET - for admission into M.Tech./M.Pharm.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), the first of its kind in the country, set up as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy 1986, is primarily a coordinating body between the University Grants Commission (UGC), the State Government and the Universities.

The Chairman, APSCHE is the competent authority to identify the University to which the CET is to be entrusted. The Vice-Chancellor of concerned University will be the Chairman of the concerned CET. The Chairman of the CET will nominate the Convener who should be of the Rank of Professor to conduct the CET. Further, all the Universities will also be furnished their nominees not below the rank of Professor to serve as a representative on the CET Committee. The Committee would take decisions for proper conduct of the CET and suggest measures to be taken for proper conduct of the CET.
